I have to say, posts where I get to talk about my sister are always my favorite! You probably know by now that my sis and I are best friends, and I mean BESTTTT. This twin bond is no joke and I feel sorry for anyone who gets in our way 😉  Sadly, these times together are so rare these days – we’re growing up, having kids, finding our husbands…you know, doing adult things. It’s crazy! But no matter what, this bond will forever be strong, and we really try our best to reunite whenever possible.

One of the perks of visiting? I barely have to pack anything! We’re practically the same size (except in shoes!) so all I really need to bring are my essentials and I’m good to go. I actually brought along my MIL’s weekender bag from Vera Bradley and it was so convenient! Definitely have to add this to my list of must-haves.

My marigold bag from Zara has been my go-to for a couple of years now and you guys see me wearing it all the time. Thankfully, there are so many great options out there like this one from Bloomingdales!

And of course, you know my love for every single hat at GigiPip! My newest addition that’s been on repeat is the Bre!

My trip to Michigan was amazing as always. I love that my sis and I enjoy venturing out and trying the best of the best in Grand Rapids. Rowster Coffee is a MUST whenever you’re in the area. The coffee is literally perfection and their almond milk latte is my favorite!

I am LIVING for these overalls and if I had it my way, I’d be living in them every single day. Sadly, my hubby is so not a fan of these lol so I’m trying to compromise #marriedlife. But let me tell you, I have never been so excited for a clothing piece. As a petite gal, it can be pretty difficult finding pieces that fit me perfectly so when I find something that does, my life is literally made. I’m not one to push, but you need these in your life. I already can’t wait to style these in so many different ways!

I’d like to think I’m a foodie, but really, I just love great food. When my sis suggested San Chez Bistro and mentioned it was tapas-style, I was ALL in. Sharing plates is always my favorite way to eat!

If you can, try to get a seat outdoors! Such a cute little area and when the weather is perfect, it really is the icing on the cake.

Okay guys let me give you a little background on this dress. I initially tried it on and thought it was waaaay too big so I threw it in the return pile where it would eventually be shipped back. Thankfully, I dread returns so much (who’s with me?!) and needed something to wear so I tried this dress on again, tightened the string in front, and it was like an entirely different dress. Needless to say, I fell in LOVE. The fit is still relaxed, but I just felt so girly and pretty in it. I went with a small, but probably could have done an x-small. No regrets though!

It was restaurant week so we totally took advantage of their amazing deal! I believe it was $38/person, and the options were incredible.

My favorite was definitely the shrimp with rice! Spicy and SO flavorful, pretty sure we were sipping on the sauce it was that good.

Isn’t my sis just the prettiest?! I love how flattering ‘Bre’ is on anyone!

Of course dinner is never completely without dessert. We had their flourless chocolate cake and goat cheese blueberry cheesecake – best of both worlds and so so good!

Sister weekend was SO needed for my soul. As you know, this summer was a difficult one for me – all the unknown, stress, and anxiety really took a toll on me mentally. It was crazy how much I missed Cam during this time away, but I knew being able to decompress and fully enjoy myself would allow me to return home completely and mentally refreshed. Balance is something I strive for everyday, and if I’m able to achieve that even in the tiniest form, it makes all the difference. I’m so thankful for this time with my sister, and even more grateful for my in-laws watching Cam!
